PHOTO: Juanar viewpoint
This is a very easy trail, a good footpath for the whole family, apt for baby buggy or even a wheelchair. There are no public toilets.
We will leave the car at the Refugio de Juanar area. See how to get there. All we have to do is follow this wide dirt trail right to the end.

Photo: Trail between the pine trees
At first we will go through a pine forest under the hill known as Cerro Nicolas and then we will begin to walk through the olives of Juanar.

Photo: Walk up to the mirador or viewpoint
We will walk past a white building that is a Wildlife Conservation Centre.
In front of us and nearly all the way we will have the mountain Cruz de Juanar (1184 metres) guiding us.
When we get to end of the trail we will see the Mediterranean Sea and the town of Marbella down on the coast.

Photo: The Cruz de Juanar mountain from the path
On the mountain to the left we will see a statue in honour of the mountain goat, that is very common in these mountains. This mountain is know as the Puerto de Marbella.
From here there is a winding trail that goes all the way down to the Puerto Rico fountain in Marbella, but that is another trail and another story...
