We are going to consider it one of our walking trails from the Hotel Don Pepe area all the way to Puerto Banus as the trail is earth and sand, and goes past areas with a quite a few trees, the overall feeling is of being on a seaside nature trail.

Right now there are no public toilets along the way, but there are a few bars / restaurants.
UPDATE: yes there are public toilets as from july 2007, open up till 8 in the evening, half way between Marbella and Puerto Banús.

A special interest point is the wooden pier in front of the Marbella Club Hotel, where you can enjoy great views any time of the year and at any time of the day.

There is also a rock pier, or breakwater, in front of the Puente Romano Hotel, it is one of the few rock breakwaters that are left. Some time ago Marbella had many rock piers that separated the beach into bays. Sometimes after a Levante storm (east wind) you can see the remains of these breakwaters washed up by the sea, in the form of big rocks and pieces of the pink gravel that paved them.

Along the way we will find wooden bridges that go over the rivers that form up in the Sierra Blanca mountains, although most of them have been channeled underground. The river you see at the Puente Romano is the Nagüeles River. Puente Romano is roman bridge in Spanish. This area and the hotel are called after one, there are a few other Roman ruins in this area.

Past here the coast has an area with big rocks full of mussels. If we follow towards the Banus luxury leisure port we come to an area with a Eucalyptus forest, this is Victor's Beach area, where we can often enjoy live music. If we look up the hill between the Eucalyptus trees we will see the Tower of the Ancon, a lookout tower of the sixteenth century.

The trail has two areas where you will have to walk on the beach, over the sand. One is past a big Eucalyptus tree near the Coral Beach Hotel and the other at the Rio Verde outlet, just before you get to Puerto Banus.
